About Daniela
I’m a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist registered with BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy and the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council).
As the daughter of an Italian chef and restaurateur, my roots are firmly in the Mediterranean. I’ve always had an appreciation of fresh, delicious, wholesome food, cooked with minimum hassle and passionately believe in the healing powers of food to nourish and nurture the body and mind.
It's widely established that the food we eat has a direct impact on our health and well-being, and that certain dietary practices prevent, as well as cause, a wide range of diseases.
Many ancient cultures, such as Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, relied purely on food and food-based remedies as their source of medicine and have studied the relationship between food and physiological functions for thousands of years.
I have a special interest in nutritional solutions for hormonal imbalances, specifically PMS and menopause support, mental health issues such as stress, anxiety and depression and digestive complaints such as candida and IBS.
Qualifications and membership
I'm a member of the British Association For Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) - the professional body for Registered Nutrition Practitioners. Their primary function is to assist its members in attaining the highest standards of integrity, knowledge, competence and professional practice, in order to protect the client’s interests, nutritional therapy and the Registered Nutrition Practitioners.
I'm also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which is supported by the Department of Health. CNHC is designed to enable applicants to demonstrate that their training and experience meets the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for their profession.
